Disney Fantasy Stateroom 10658
This is a category 5E stateroom on the Disney Fantasy, which my family enjoyed for a week recently. Category 5E staterooms feature oversized oceanview verandahs. These category of rooms are on deck 10 at the aft (or back) of the ship. Stateroom 10658 is on the corner of the back of the boat which means it features a VERY large deck. My family has always enjoyed spending time on our verandahs on previous cruises so we knew we would get lots of use out of this deck. And we did.
This room is in an L shape because it is on the corner. The layout is a bit irregular from other rooms in that in addition to being L shaped it the queen bed and the sofa are on opposite walls, rather than on the same wall. The television is on the same wall as the queen bed, but is adjustable. This room was also missing a footer locker/trunk cabinet that most other rooms have. This didn’t pose a problem for my family as there is plenty storage elsewhere in the room.
There are reports online of vibrations from the engines below and noise from Cabanas above. We didn’t notice anything to the extreme that it bothered us. We do tend to sleep with a noise maker no matter where we are though.
This room is on the starboard (or right) side of the ship. As it happens, this means excellent views of Castaway Cay assuming the ship docks in backwards like it normally does. You also have a view of the pirate night fireworks from this room.
These fireworks pics were taken from our balcony.
And the best view any one could ever ask for. This stunning photo is of Disney Cruise Line’s private Bahamian island, Castaway Cay.
